In The Faithful, Steve partnered with Voice of the Martyrs to produce a video calling the church to remember and pray for our fellow believer undergoing suffering in many parts of the world. Interestingly, the project was recorded in London, during the funeral procession of Princess Diana. Since the session had been booked for months, the orchestra agreed to keep their commitment. TV monitors were placed throughout the studio so that the musicians could watch the proceedings. As the procession moved through the city, Steve recorded Safely Home, live with the orchestra. The song written to comfort believers at the loss of loved ones was a powerful contrast that day to the emotional upheaval and grief heard on the streets of London. |
